Daniela G. Battisti
Daniela G. Battisti (Ph.D. Rutgers 1994) is a Director within the Italian Agency for the Attraction of Investments and Economic Development – Innovation Unit and served until April 2006 as the Coordinator of the Research and Study Office in the Cabinet of the former Minister for Innovation and Technologies, presently Minister for Reform and Innovation in the PA.
Her expertise is focused on digital economy and in particular, on issues pertaining to the digital content, the evolution of copyright, broadband and convergence, ICT indicators and statistics. She works also on issues related to the digital divide and e-inclusion, in particular to the use of ICT for disabled and elderly people and the illegal and harmful material on the Internet. Presently, she is managing two major projects:
1. DIGIScuola, a public marketplace for educational digital content. The project has been allocated 25,9 million Euro for a 2 year period (2006-2008).
2. Italia.it, National Tourism Gateway www.italia.it; the project has been allocated 45 million Euro at Central and Local government.
She is a member of the Global Advisory Board for the London Business School since 2004. and Adjunct Faculty at the Loyola University - Rome Programme. Vice-Chair of ICCP (Information Computer and Communications Policies Committee.
